Garrett is a certified Mechanical Engineer in Training with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Triple C – The A&E Group, Mr. Malone contributes to the design and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for complex facilities, including medical buildings and data centers. His work emphasizes code compliance, performance, and seamless integration with architectural and structural disciplines.
Proficient in Revit, Trane Trace 3D Plus, Bluebeam Revu, and Excel, Garrett supports the development of coordinated construction documentation and energy modeling to meet stringent project and jurisdictional requirements. He collaborates closely with architects, structural engineers, and interior designers to ensure functional, efficient, and constructible system layouts.
Before joining Triple C, Mr. Malone gained hands-on experience at Granite Construction as an intern, where he supported drafting, equipment selection, and cost estimating. His passion for HVAC design was sparked during his senior capstone project at Texas A&M, where he led the design of mechanical systems and developed a strong appreciation for the science behind environmental control and energy performance.
In addition to his technical work, Garrett is committed to community engagement and mentoring the next generation of engineers. He volunteers with the ACE Mentor Program of DFW and Frisco ISD, where he shares his knowledge and enthusiasm for the built environment with high school students exploring careers in architecture, engineering, and construction.
Driven by a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for continued growth, he is dedicated to advancing in the field of MEP design and contributing to meaningful, high-performing projects.
